This website is designed to help social studies teachers teach the Vietnam War. It is broken into several categories and events of the war. Throughout the site I will give possible teaching ideas, however, I do not give you prescribed lesson plans. Due to the fact that every state has their own standards and views on teaching history I wanted this site to be more of an aid. This site is designed to help jog your memory of the war as well as provide you with content to help teach your students. You will find that each section will be divided into at least two categories. One category will be devoted to the content of the section, and the other category will be teaching ideas and addition resources that exist within our discipline.
Please feel free to take any of the ideas and pictures. This site is designed to help teachers do what they do best without the cookie cutter lesson formats. Use this site to help you create the lessons that fit your teaching style and state requirements.

I would also like to thank Dr. John Tully for all his help and support in this project. Without his sponsorship this website would not have been possible. Dr. John Tully is a full time professor at Central Connecticut State University. He is not only the social studies coordinator for the secondary education program, but he specializes in American foreign relations and recent U.S. history.
